Woodstock Winery Owner Named to State Wine Farm Council
Richard Auger of Woodstock, an executive with Covidien surgical devices and a farm winery owner, has been appointed to a four-year term on the Connecticut Farm Wine Development Council. Richard and Linda Auger, his wife, are owners of the Taylor Brooke Winery in Woodstock, CT.
Taylor Brooke Winery, a Connecticut Farm Winery and a USDA Registered Family Farm, grows five different wine grape varietals on over 2.5 acres of intensive method farming. The Augers have been residents of Woodstock for 26 years.
“I was pleased to recommend Dick Auger for this position which will expire in August of 2013, said State Rep. Mike Alberts (R-Woodstock). “Dick is exceptionally knowledgeable about the wine industry. The input of our smaller, northeastern Connecticut wineries is especially valuable in the development of statewide agricultural programs.”
